The climate in Kawakami is ideal for growing trees, and the silvicultural techniques passed down for centuries are capable of producing superior materials that resonate with all five senses.

ｰ節が少ないｰ Few knots
枝の跡である節が吉野の木にはほとんどありません。密植による自然枯れと、丁寧な枝打ちのおかげです。

Knots are scars left by branches, but Yoshino cedar trees have almost none. This is all thanks to the natural withering due to their dense planting and careful pruning.

ｰ色が美しいｰ Beautiful colors
木を伐った後、山で乾燥させることで、きれいな淡紅色になります。

After the trees are harvested, they are left to dry on the mountainside,giving the timber a beautiful pink shade.

密植と多間伐による生まれる、細かく、均一な年輪は吉野で育った木ならではの特徴です。
